Poem #16 – Distance

Distance

She did not leave, because she had hate.
She did not leave, because she had doubt.

When demons cloud her mind
When demons rip her throat
She left, because it hurt.

Self-inflicted and haunted
she no longer hears herself.

Confused and lost
she no longer sees herself.

She did not leave, because she felt less.
She did no leave, because her mind changed.

She did not leave you
for her soul still resides.
Desire for inner-peace.
This is her temporary goodbye.
