Poem #17 – If She Believed

If she believed
when the sky scorned her

If she understood
when the ground spat at her

If she hoped
when life screamed at her

If she laughed
when shadows swallowed her

If she believed
and paid no heed
scattering her essence
amongst the labyrinth’s presence

If she believed
the world would stop for her

If she believed.
