Poem #18 – Mirror

Four cornered
a shallow reflection
yet a scary outward replication
on many days you deem it alive
as it picks out your flaws
every moment at a time.

On some it will be your fellow
setting your mind in a faithful leap
though on others
it will stab you before you sleep.

Those piercing eyes
that judge you back
plays with you
until you crack.

You can plea
and yell
to make it go
but it will only
mock you
with its empty soul.
